Empty nesting is so yesterday. Besting is the latest buzz word.
A new book, Besting: Better Nesting, by Bob Waun predicts that the current U.S. housing slump is the start of a migration of baby boomers to a new form of second home ownership.
The U.S. market will trend more toward shared ownership, fractional ownership, condo hotels, timeshares, and destination clubs, says Waun.

“Besters” are buying better nests, not downsizing for retirement, he says, and this is a dynamic shift in lifestyle expectations for the mature adults.”
