Happy New Year. I had a lot of time (too much) to catch up on reading over these holidays, it’s cold in Michigan and cabin time is mandatory. One of the books I finished was Thomas Friedman’s “Hot, Flat & Crowded” - it underscores my belief in the power of demographics. He claims that at the beginning of a 50 year old’s lifetime that just over 2 billion people lived on Earth, today that figure stands over 6 billion. A threefold increase in our time. In the next 50 years the world’s population is expected to exceed 9 Billion.
Anyone who believes that rare-air real estate will decline in value over the next 50 years is ignoring the basic laws of supply & demand.
