If you read this blog regularly, you know I’m a bit of a greenie and tree huger. I truly believe we all have a responsibility to make little improvements every day to make the world better.
In the 1980’s my first job was soldering tiny LEDÂ light bulbs on printed circuit boards. I once built a night light with these LEDs. They emit no heat so if you fall asleep there was no risk of starting a fire. They use so little electricity, a 9 volt battery would power a handful of bright light. They are nearly unbreakable (I’ve smashed them with hammers). And they last for 25+ years. The LEDs I soldered in High School are still working today!
Where am I going with all this? A friend of mine has a company that is installing LED light bulbs in hotels and office buildings for FREE, and sharing with the property owner in the electrical bill savings.
How can they do this? LED lights will reduce you lighting bill by up to 80%.
