Speaking of Distressed Real Estate…

I’m excited to have been invited to speak at next week’s IMN Distressed Real Estate conference in Miami. AGENDA

Our panel deals with land, but the story is the same for any type of real estate asset, if it’s distressed today, lenders don’t want to finance it at retail rates and terms. This leaves any buyer of distressed property with a dilemma, how do you sell the property for cash sales?

The speaking rooster is damn impressive. I’m honored to have been invited by my friend, Frank Carmel, to speak on his panel. Topics to be covered at this conference include:

  • Finding distressed deals
  • Repositioning projects
  • Lots, broken subdivisions, community development districts
  • Triple Net Leases, Sale-Leasebacks
  • Buying a condo building
  • Financing Distressed Commercial property
  • Buying Loans from The FDIC
  • Macroeconomic Impact of Distressed Real Estate
  • Acquiring Hotels
  • Buying the Note vs. Deed

The last IMN Distressed conference attracted 500 attendees. Let no one tell you that there isn’t a lot of money sitting on the sidelines waiting for the right opportunity to invest. 2010 may be that time.
